Upcoming School-Based Dental Clinics

Our Smile Fairies travel throughout southern Minnesota, bringing oral health services directly to students in their schools. Our school-based dental clinics currently reach schools across Steele, Waseca, Le Sueur, Rice, Dodge, and Olmsted Counties. Explore our upcoming school-based dental clinic visits below.

School-based clinic visits are coordinated directly with participating schools. Dates are subject to change. Please contact your child’s school or Let’s Smile, Inc. for information about participation.

Who is Eligible?

Children and teens from birth through age 19 are eligible for our school-based dental program.

Important Reminder!

Return the signed consent form at least 2 days before the visit.

Late/incomplete/unsigned forms may prevent your child from being seen.

MHCP Enrolled

Students enrolled in Minnesota Health Care Programs (Medical Assistance or MinnesotaCare) qualify for services.

Children without dental insurance coverage are welcome and encouraged to participate in our program. 

Patients participating in our program who are enrolled in a state assistance program will have their services billed to insurance, and the unpaid portion will be paid by grant funding. If a patient is uninsured, Let’s Smile, Inc. utilizes grant & donation funding to cover the cost of their services.

If a patient is covered by private dental insurance or additional/supplemental health insurance plans, please use other dental offices

Services Offered

  • Basic Dental Screening: assess for broken enamel on teeth, detect infections in gum tissues, check for oral cancer, and inspect for the proper development of teeth
  • Dental cleaning: removal of oral plaque, tarter, stains, and bacteria that cause cavities and oral infections
  • Fluoride varnish application: strengthens the enamel of teeth to prevent cavities
  • Sealants: protect the chewing surfaces of teeth by covering them with a protective shield that blocks out germs and food to prevent cavities
  • Dental X-rays: detect hidden dental concerns
  • At-home dental care guidance
  • Nutritional Counseling regarding oral health
  • Take-home toothbrush, toothpaste, floss& mouth rinse
  • Referrals as needed for follow-up dental treatment
