Dental Health

Let's Smile, Inc. services align with the Minnesota Child and Teen Standards (C & TC) and Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis and Treatment (EPSDT)

In keeping with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommendations, a child's first examination should be completed at the eruption of the first tooth in the mouth or no later than 12 months of age. Repeat every 6 months or as indicated by the child's risk status / susceptibility to dental disease. It is recommended to have a dental exam by a dentist annually.

The mouth is vital for so much of what we do. From talking to eating, smiling and frowning, one thing is clear: our bodies and mouths are not separate. Your oral health reveals signs of poor nutrition, acid reflux, osteoporosis, eating disorders, diabetes, heart disease and digestion problems. Studies have shown the links between oral infections with heart disease, respiratory diseases, stomach ulcers, infections, immune disorders and certain cancers.
